The story of the CSI Town Church, Arni, is inseparable from the pioneer missionary work of the Arcot American Mission (AAM). Founded in the mid-19th century, our church stands as a living witness to the faith and dedication of those who brought the message of hope to the North Arcot region.

The mission was officially organized in 1853 by the renowned Scudder family, led by Rev. John Scudder Sr. and his sons. Arni was chosen as one of the four original base stations, alongside Arcot, Vellore, and Chittoor.
